Say good bye to your old school black and white television set with earphones! Today’s advanced technology has brought us to the most incredible home theatre components at the moment. Since your home Theatre System ( HTS ) in all probability might be the only entertainment provider for your whole family, why not give them a real specialised system to suit their needs? to provide you with most excellent photographs and sounds, four main units are required in your HTS.

The number 01 unit in your system is the television, which must be simple to guess by now. Not like the televisions found ten years ago, there are a number of types available now. High definition television, Plasma television and LCD models are to name a couple. You will be amazed at the choices available for you at present.

When selecting a television for your HTS, your main concern should be the size. Do you choose a television which can almost cover a wall or do you go for a set which can be mounted to the wall? If you have little children then definitely your choice should be the television that can be mounted to the wall because as everyone knows, children love to play with buttons! You can select a HDTV for pointy 3D pictures or a flat screen model to help more in visuals. Having given full attention to your requirements of the HTS, the selection of the television is the foundation of the visible units that you’ll need.

Hope you understand the importance of learning the basic components of Best Home Theater Systems by now!

There are several options available in the market but remember to choose a quality Player which can be manually operated as well. Otherwise you’ll have many doleful and angry faces around you, when the Remote Controller gets missing. You will be able to find an inexpensive unit since these Players was introduced sometime ago. You will come out as a Winner, as long you find Player with all of the features you need to include in your HTS.

Hope you were able to learn something about the main components of your best home theater systems from this article. If and when you do some research on the internet, you’ll see that there are many choices to choose from.

LCD stands for Liquid Crystal Display. This type of TV gives wonderful clarity and high brightness and contrast levels. They are slim, elegantly designed and awesome to look; they definitely décor the home interiors.

Taking care of LCD TVs is a very important aspect. Since they are also expensive when compared to the CRT TVs, they have to be taken special care, in order to keep it cost effective and economical. There are various factors that determine the care of it like the humidity or the temperature of the place, other environmental conditions, the way the TV is handled and used etc. It is an electronic equipment which is very sensitive in nature, and so few things have to be taken care of.

The first and foremost thing to remember is that the TV should be used at room humidity and temperature for it to perform well. If the TV is used in high temperatures or humidity, then the performance can be highly affected. When the temperature is less than 10oC, then it should not be used, as it can cause the brightness levels to reduce, thus decreasing the performance. Also, exposing the TV to a drastic difference in temperatures can also affect the polarizers’ performance. For example, if the TV is exposed to a drastic change in the temperature from cold to hot, if might form dew drops to get accumulated over the TV which can prove hazardous to the polarizers’ life.

The environmental factors also have to be considered while having an LCD TV. It is always recommended to keep the TV in a clean and dry place, away from dust and other liquids. When the TV comes in contact with excess dust, it can result in the malfunctioning of the electrical parts inside the TV due to electrical shorts. Also, if the TV is exposed to liquid or humidity, the polarizer can get discoloured, resulting in the TV not functioning properly. Liquids or humidity should also not be allowed to enter inside the TV, in order to prevent corrosion of the inner parts.

Since the TV is made up of glass, it is important to see that care is taken while handling it. Also it should not be exposed to shocks or vibrations, as this could affect the performance of the TV. The outer surface of an LCD TV is made up of soft material and so it is important not to use any sharp articles near it. Since it s made of glass, strong vibrations or shocks should not be given to it, as the glass can be broken if something like that happens. Also it should not be bent or dropped from a high altitude.

Before handling it, care should be taken to first ground it by ESD protection devices and also use soft things like gloves, as there are many sensitive parts inside and it would also prevent damaging of the screen. Care should also be taken while cleaning the LCD, as it should be cleaned preferably with Hexane or IPA, as otherwise the polarizer can be affected.

Also a very important thing to be noticed is that these TVs should never be re-assembled without the proper guidance of a qualified operator, as the original performance and charm of the TV can be destroyed, if handled by an amateur. Also the screen should be turned off when not in use or a screen saver that changes frequently should be used. If the same picture is left for long, then the brightness of the TV can get reduced and can also result in sticking of the images on the screen.

An LCD TV is an owners’ pride and it is an ecstasy to watch favourite TV shows and movies in an LCD. With just little care while handling the TV, it can give many advantages and lots of fun to its owner.

Only the front face of a pressure transducer is exposed to the sound field. The diaphragm responds equally to all sound pressure fluctuations hitting the surface, doesn’t matter form which direction the sound. Pressure transducers have no directional characteristic, and are Omni directional.

Pressure gradient transducers

These microphones have a figure-8 pickup pattern along the longitudinal axis. They respond to the momentary sound pressure difference between two points A and B, which are a slight distance apart in the sound field.

Pick up Patterns

Omni directional

An Omni directional microphone, reveres to Omni because it hears from all direction. Provide the fullest sound from a distance. Omni is good to capture ambience and the room sound.

Bidirectional microphones only hearse from the front and the back and nothing from the sides.

Cardioid

Hears most of its sounds from the front and only a little from the back.

Transducer type

Magnetic Induction Transducer

Dynamic microphones work on the basis on magnetism. As the coil, that is mounted to the diagram moves in and out in relation to the SPL and cuts through the magnetic field. A current is induced in the coil, and that is a voltage representation of the sound.

Variable Capacitance Transducer

There are two plates placed close to each other, there is a potential difference on the plates. As the SPL hits the diaphragm the plates start to bind in relation to the sound. As the plates bend it causes electrons to jump, and you will get the voltage representation of the sound

Multi Pick up pattern

1.	A microphone with multiple pickup patterns typically uses voltage difference between two condenser cardiod capsules. The different voltages on the plate causes different pick up patterns. Here are the different voltages on the different plates.

Omni = + +

Fig 8 = + -

Cardiod = + -

Cardiod = + +

2.	A microphone with ports on their side provides an alternate way to put the sound from the back and the sound from the front out of phase. And change between Omni and cardiod.

Omni = Ports are blocked

Cardiod = Ports open

Fig 8 = Ports open, have more ports

Do you have access to a large number of dvds or home movies that you would like to watch at your own time but would also like to have movie theater quality? Have you been wondering if you should buy a home theater projector but don’t know what to look for? This article will help you out by going over two of the best home theater projectors of 2009.

Optoma HD70

To start off, let’s talk about the Optoma HD70. At $685, the Optoma HD70 is relatively cheap compared to some of the other models. It has a lamp life of 3000 hours at 200 Watts, meaning that you could theoretically keep it on for 125 days straight without stopping before it dies – and when it does, the lamp is pretty easy to replace (but that’s another story). The image size can be anywhere from 33.55″ to 310″, which truly gives you a movie theater experience. It comes with the AC Power Cord, Composite Video Cable, Component Video Cable, S-Video Cable, Remote Control, Batteries for Remote, Lens Cap, User’s Manual, Quick Start Guide and Warranty Card all in a wonderfully ergonomical carrying case. While this sounds like a lot, the whole thing only weighs 5.6lbs.

Panasonic PT-AE900U

The Panasonic PT-AE900u will cost you a bit more but comes with many cool features. At $1,710, the Panasonic PT-AE900u will give you true high definition quality. It measures about 13″ by 4″ by 10.5″ and weighs a bit more than the Optoma HD70 at 7.9 pounds. The PT-AE900U presents a number of features for adjusting the picture quality of your movie including a new Dynamic Iris optical system that lengthens the range of the iris by 30% for a captivating 5500:1 contrast ratio. Dynamic Iris tracks the movement of the scene so that the video flows more thouroughly than your average dvd. The PT-AE900U is also outfitted with new Smooth Screen technology that effectively eliminates the “screen door effect” (visible spacing between pixels) and gives the projector a more high quality film-like presentation. In order to adapt to any home electronic device, the PT-AE900U supports a full range of input sources, including DVD and video players, PCs and game consoles.

Which of these top of the line projectors you choose is completely up to you as the year 2009 has presented the industry with high performance, smaller machines, and award winning capabilities. With your new projector, you will at last be at ease with watching your favorite movies right in the comfort of your own home. Whenever you bring your friends around, they will stare in awe and wonder at how well off you are and will envy your accomplishments. A home theater projector is the only thing standing between making you the talk of the town. So what are you waiting for? Get your projector today!
